We want to share the stories of others who have faced inequities both inside and outside of the sports world; of those who have faced barriers of any sort – gender, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or differently-abled – in trying to accomplish their dreams or simply even do what they do and be who they are.
That’s the inspiration behind the growth of OFFSIDE, the book, into OFFSIDE, the movement.

OFFSIDE at a Glance
OFFSIDE: MakingHerStory started as a book by Rhonda Leeman Taylor about the evolution of women's hockey history in Canada, and the challenges that she personally faced playing and working in the game she loves. In 2019, Rhonda published OFFSIDE: A Memoir – Challenges Faced By Women In Hockey, to rave reviews from both long-time hockey insiders and women and girls just learning to play the game.
